Sen. Cory Booker Reveals Jan. 6 Picture That’ll ‘Hang-out’ Him For The Relaxation Of His Life

There’s one sight that Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) will always remember from his expertise on the U.S. Capitol through the assault on Jan. 6, 2021.

In an interview on “The Late Present” on Monday, Booker described “hell” breaking free on the Senate ground that day. Staffers had been crying and a number of law enforcement officials suffered accidents within the assault. However there’s one picture that also haunts him.

″[The image that] will have an effect on me for the remainder of my life was attending to my workplace and turning on my TV and the primary picture I noticed waving defiantly in our Capitol was the traitor’s flag, the Accomplice flag,” Booker informed host Stephen Colbert. “And as I continued to observe, I noticed individuals with Camp Auschwitz T-shirts, blatant racism and anti-semitism. Black officers I do know had been known as vile and harsh names throughout this assault. Hate reigned on our Capitol as individuals tried to cease the peaceable switch of energy.”
