According to authorities, officers were conducting a pedestrian stop of two juveniles around 10:18 p.m. on Friday, June 28 in the 900 block of Shaw Street.

One of the juveniles, Nyah, fled from police. Police said Nyah displayed what appeared to be a handgun during the chase.

Police said they recovered a replica GLOCK 17 handgun – which was determined to be a pellet gun.

Nyah was taken to Wynn Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
