No trains between Rotterdam and The Hague all weekend

Due to work, no trains will be running between The Hague and Rotterdam on Saturday and Sunday. This is the last weekend of the work on the track between the two cities, which ProRail started on October 22. As a result, no trains have been running between Rotterdam Centraal and Delft Campus for the past week and a half.

For instance, Schiedam Centrum is one of the stations on the line The Hague – Rotterdam where ProRail is improving the track for more train traffic. According to ProRail, the track work is necessary because the number of passengers is growing. “At this station, we are making tracks 1 and 2 suitable for train traffic again. And we are making all kinds of adjustments to the track so that trains can travel faster.”

Travelers between The Hague and Rotterdam can travel via Gouda. NS buses will be running between Schiedam Centrum and Den Haag Hollands Spoor stations this weekend.

There is also a metro between Den Haag Centraal and Rotterdam Centraal, but according to the NS, it is very busy. The carrier also expects extra crowds in public transport on Saturday evening, when Feyenoord plays against AZ in De Kuip.
