No injuries in Overland Park after Oak Park Mall shooting
The Overland Park Police Department is investigating after a shooting at Oak Park Mall late Sunday afternoon.A representative for the department confirmed the shooting and said that a law enforcement officer is believed to have been involved. A PIO with the department was unable to confirm whether or not there were any injuries or the circumstances that led up to the shooting.KMBC spoke with a mother and daughter who said they were inside the mall when the shooting occurred. The family members said they fled out of an employee entrance of the mall after hearing a single gunshot near the food court.
