Man Stabbed Multiple Times on Subway Train in the Bronx: NYPD

June 05, 2024 BRONX, New York – Police are investigating an assault in transit after a man was stabbed on Wednesday afternoon in the Bronx.

Officials say a 41-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the right arm and transported to Lincoln hospital where he was last listed in stable condition.

The injured man was stabbed on a southbound number 2 train and got off at the Jackson Avenue stop to seek help from an MTA Booth agent, cops said.

The MTA worker immediately called for police assistance as the injured man bled from puncture wounds to his arm while standing near the agents booth and turnstiles.

The incident was reported just after 3 p.m., at the Jackson Avenue Train Station in the Melrose neighborhood in the Bronx.

No arrests at this time. Police are looking for a black male suspect approximately 50 years old with short white hair, dressed in a dark colored t-shirt and pants who fled on a southbound 2 train, police radio said.
