WEATHERFORD, Texas (AP) — A Texas junior school pitcher is going through attainable expulsion from college for leveling an opposing baserunner after giving up a house run.
The incident occurred Wednesday as Weatherford School hosted North Central Texas School.
Video posted online confirmed North Central Texas School participant Josh Phillips rounding third within the sixth inning. Weatherford pitcher Owen Woodward then sprints over and collides with him, sending each gamers crashing to the bottom.
It was not instantly clear what prompted the assault. The sport was suspended.
Weatherford college officers stated the incident can be investigated and Woodward may presumably be expelled. College officers stated the Weatherford police division additionally was investigating.
