K-pop megastar Jennie of BLACKPINK has issued an official apology after a video surfaced showing her allegedly vaping indoors.

Jennie’s personal label, OA Entertainment, released a statement saying, “We sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable with Jennie’s actions. Jennie acknowledges and deeply regrets her mistake of vaping indoors and causing inconvenience to the staff.”

The statement added that Jennie had personally contacted the staff present at the time to apologize.

“We apologize to the fans who felt disappointed and promise to show a more mature and positive image in the future,” the statement continued.

The controversy began when Jennie recently uploaded a vlog showing her vaping while getting her hair and makeup done.

The video included a scene where she exhaled smoke directly in front of staff members.

After the video sparked backlash, Jennie edited out the controversial scenes and re-uploaded the video. However, the indoor smoking allegations continued to spread online.
