Army Reserve Commander, Family Warned Police About Maine Gunman

The gunman in the recent mass shootings in Maine threatened last month to “shoot up the drill center” where his Army reserve unit is based, according to records released late Monday by a local sheriff.

Sagadahoc County Sheriff Joel Merry said deputies from his department had spoken several times with concerned family members of suspect Robert Card, 40, in the months before he killed 18 people in a shooting rampage on Oct. 25.
