Adrian Wilson, former Panthers vice president of player personnel, arrested on domestic violence charges

Adrian Wilson, former vice president of player personnel for the Carolina Panthers, was arrested in Arizona on three domestic-violence related charges on June 1, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.

Police said in a statement Tuesday that Wilson was charged with assault, criminal damage and disorderly conduct. All three charges are misdemeanors.

The Panthers confirmed to NFL.com that Wilson was no longer employed by the team.

“Adrian Wilson will not continue in his position as Vice President of Player Personnel for the Carolina Panthers,” a Tepper Sports & Entertainment spokesperson said in a statement issued on Sunday. “Consistent with our organizational policy on employee matters, we will have no further comment.”

The Panthers hired Wilson ahead of the 2023 season. He spent the prior eight years in the Arizona Cardinals’ scouting department under a variety of roles, including vice president of pro scouting. Wilson served as the Cardinals’ co-interim general manager during the 2022 season after Steve Keim took an indefinite leave of absence.

Wilson spent his entire playing career with the Cardinals, earning five Pro Bowls across 12 seasons. He was inducted into the Cardinals’ Ring of Honor in 2015.
