1 shot dead, multiple people stabbed at Lake Berryessa, sheriff says


A man was shot dead and several people were stabbed during a large fight at Lake Berryessa on Saturday, the Napa County Sheriff’s Office said. The fight broke out around 5:30 p.m. at the Oak Shores Day Use area, according to the sheriff’s office. Two of the stabbing victims were airlifted to local hospitals. Their conditions are unknown. Several other victims took themselves to hospitals. There are no arrests at this point and it is unknown what sparked the altercation. KCRA 3’s Carolina Estrada reported the police investigation appears focused on the parking lot area near Knoxville Road. More than 20 officers, deputies and detectives from various agencies are at the scene. She also saw multiple witnesses being interviewed. The California Highway Patrol’s Golden Gate Division said it sent a helicopter to the scene to assist with medical help. The Oak Shores Day Use area is on the western side of the lake about an hour and a half’s drive from Sacramento. This story is developing.
